More Magnificent National Parks

Going to the Sun Road and Yellowstone The beauty continues when we cross  from Canada to Montana USA and visit Glacier National Park. The main road through is the Going to the Sun Road. It’s only open during summer and we get there just two weeks before it closes for the season.     There aren’t many glaciers in the park these days but that doesn’t detract from its magnificence. Canada’s National Parks – awesome!

After a couple of days chilling out on the ferry after our time in Alaska we hit the road and headed straight for Canada’s national parks – Jasper, Banff and Kootenay.     Camping in these national parks adds to the experience. Big sites in the woods mean you are on touch with nature. The rest of Alaska

      We’d made it to the top of the Americas but there was still a lot of Alaska to see. We left Fairbanks and headed to Anchorage where the best value accommodation was the Harley Davidson Campground. In the dealership’s garden, there is a lovely, green campground and a clean bathroom. The only drawback is that it can become party central!             There is no circuitous route around Alaska with most roads heading back to Anchorage or Fairbanks. We took the road to …
