Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan – The Silk Road

Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan July 19 – 31     Travelling with Damien Fauchot on his GS 1200 with Ural sidecar, we crossed into Kazakhstan. Russia- part one July 1 –19     There was a little trepidation when we rode from Helsinki to the Russian border. We needn’t have worried. The border guards were helpful and friendly. It didn’t take too long and we were on our way. The roads and drivers, however, were a different story.
